Kaleidoscope Virtual Assistant Services are moving

We’re all of a flurry at Kaleidoscope HQ this week as we’re moving house at the end of March.

Along with the countless things it takes to do and remember to make a home move go smoothly, there’s a lot to sort out in terms of moving the business, too.

Most of the planning I’m busy with at the moment is to ensure my clients receive a completely seamless service from Kaleidoscope – hopefully they’ll be barely aware anything has changed.

Part of ensuring this is the case is keeping myself calm and free from stress – a challenge at times, as there are a lot of emotional ups and downs to deal with. It’s another reason why advance planning is essential for managing a move like this.

There is quite a large checklist for moving home – this is by no means complete, but it’s a good starter if you’re in the same position:

  1. New business cards
  2. Change address on all marketing materials, invoices and website
  3. Send out change of address emails and letters
  4. Notify Companies House
  5. Arrange for telephone, broadband and Wi-Fi to be installed in advance
  6. Notify insurance company
  7. Have post redirected
  8. Get a good quality, highly recommended removal service and invest a bit extra in getting their help with the packing

The truth about number five, by the way, is that I’ve actually decided not to have a business landline any more. All of my clients have completely embraced the 'virtual' aspect of being a Virtual Assistant and only ever call me on my mobile.
